Test Kitchen Study - Free Cooking Classes

As part of Hypothesis Haven Science Club's mission to teach children how doctors and scientists discover, treat and prevent illnesses, we are excited to share opportunities for children to take part in clinical research.

This 12-month lifestyle program for people with obesity and metabolic risk will include free cooking classes with nutrition, exercise, and mindfulness education. Purpose

The Teaching Kitchen Multisite Curriculum (TKC) Study is an innovative program that combines evidence-based nutrition education with culinary learning to support behavior change. The purpose of this study is to assess the feasibility and preliminary impact of this novel teaching kitchen program on health outcomes and wellbeing, across a variety of settings and sociodemographic populations.



Time commitment

This research study requires a 12-month commitment including 16 weekly cooking classes, 8 monthly cooking classes, and some pre and post questionnaires, labs, and measurements.
