As part of Hypothesis Haven Science Club's mission to teach children how doctors and scientists discover, treat and prevent illnesses, we are excited to share opportunities for children to take part in clinical research.
Purpose Change HD is a brain imaging study that dedicated to the early detection and treatment of Huntington's Disease (HD). While HD has been considered a disease that primarily affects adults, new research has shown that changes in the brain can be seen long before adulthood, even as early as the stages in life where brain development begins. This study hopes to find how the gene responsible for HD affects brain development and the best times to begin treatment.
